My normal routine is to ride my pushbike to the newsagents for a paper then go to a coffee shop for a coffee and an update on the world situation and ride back to the boat
, good exercise for those approaching codgerdom.
This damned virus thing has got all the coffee shops either selling the furniture to stave off bankruptcy or to comply with panicky government
Consequently I have been obliged to buy my coffee then go find a BBQ area to sit down and spread my paper out (It should be noted that I'm a broadsheet reader and avoid the company of tabloid peasants)
I don't know if it is my shaky old sense of balance or whether it affects everyone but I was having a real problem riding one handed whilst balancing a cup of coffee in the other and dodging recalcitrant pedestrians.
Inspiration struck and after a quick trip to the hardware
store the appurtenances illustrated in the image below was fitted to the rack on the treadlie. Worked great on today's test run.
