Re: Europeans entering Guatemala

[QUOTE=Sailmonkey;
Doing it again, I’d clear out of Isla Mujeres and stop for a day or two in the bays as a part of my transit south.[/QUOTE]

Now anybody would be heading north. Bahi de Todos Santo and Bahi Ascension are great stops but you couldn't live there for long, maybe. In Todos Santo the anchorage is on the panga route to the bus station for the locals. You could get some stuff delivered or a ride to a bus station! In Assension you can get stuff from Punta Allen delivered. Like Coke and seafood.

Re: Europeans entering Guatemala

I'm thinking of stopping in Mexico on the way to Florida or possibly Texas from Panama. It's all good here, but don't want to spend rainy season and it appears San Blas and Bocas will be closed for quite some time.

Several people are hauling there boats and flying out. I can probably haul in TX or FL for less than Panama and have access mostly guaranteed in the early fall. Who knows when cruisers may be able to return to Panama if flying out now?

Re: Europeans entering Guatemala

The agent Raul is trying to find a way to let boats into Guatemala under some sort of a quarantine downriver. The Texan Bay area was mentioned.
Hope that works out.
