Just flew in to DR to shop for marina.

Smooth, they seem to have worked out Covid issues.

Pre travel online health check, testing waived with vaccine, (I got one anyway to be sure I had a negative for trip back).

I remember having to pay for Visa last time I was here, this time no.

According to the agent I asked, same procedure if you arrive by boat.

A portable printer to print barcode for entry documents would be very handy.

Over all they are mostly back to normal, (they do require mask in public), curfew midnight to 6am.

That leaves Bahamas, Turks & Caicos left to check out.

I still hear bad things about BVI, so I'm going to turn around at PR this year.

At least the trip is back on.

Thanks for update. Gf n i flying to PR in a week. What marina would you suggest? I have an airbnb in fajardo & a Rental car. Don't own a boat just investigating retirement

Just visited Ocean world marina near Puerto Plata.

Easy entry, large slips, $450 month for 40 ft boat.

Curious, how do you intend to use your boat there? Most folks seem rather intimidated by that coast.

I sailed in to Luperon over 20 years ago and never left. I now live in the countryside and very happy. The covid problem is a laugh here if you go to the cities they have the insanity but the countryside is sane. If your in Luperon area and want to contact me 809-838 2430
