Day sailing

I wonder if weíll be able to day sail this summer?

Iím on a river, Mississippi, so it would be out and back.

The other option is to spend the summer fixing stuff while the boat sits in the cradle or even if that makes any sense.

Pity I just paid my dock fees or Iíd have only paid for storage.

And yes itís early to be thinking of this but still...

There is nothing stopping you from doing this.

You can go today.

Sailing is social distancing (well, unless you take crew from outside your household, which is the opposite of social distancing).

Re: Day sailing

It depends on whether you need to travel to get to your boat. If things get serious (like in Italy) you may not be allowed to walk or drive to your boat to go for a sail, or even to work on it - thatís not considered essential travel. Of the boatís in your back yard or at a berth attached to your property then youíre probably OK to go for a sail.

Re: Day sailing

A lot of marinas in Europe are in lockdown, so no you can't leave even for a short time. Depends whether your locality gets to that stage I guess.
