Canadian sailor here wondering what the current vax requrments for entering the usa are. There is alot of info on the net all pointing to air and land travel needing full vax but no info on travel by personal pleasure craft.
If anyone can help much appreciated.
Whether you are entering the U.S. by air, land, or sea:
As of June 12, 2022, you will not be required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test to enter the U.S. This includes U.S. citizens and noncitizens.
Foreign nationals must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before entering the U.S. Accepted vaccines include FDA-approved or authorized or WHO Emergency Use Listing vaccines.
Heya. Well searched. I found lost of that but never with "by sea" in there. Noonsite has a posting thats aweful misinforming about "check in reverrting to pre covid conditions" i appriciate the responses.cheers folks
That's my peeve with most modern apps; there's a path that covers 90%+ of the users, and often no effort at all to accommodate cases that diverge. My hint that it was the case was other sites also mentioning ferry crossings and commercial seafarers as in play.
Or, it's all outdated and whatever small port of entry you use won't care anyway. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
