Canada USA border restrictions Aug 21

Anyone have "inside scoop" or predictions on what the Americans will do for the next scheduled restrictions rollover date of Aug 21? I still can't get over the irony that we opened and they didn't...wtf?

CBC news reports the US will extend the border closure (entering via land border) another 30 days.
So if any Canadians close to the CAN US border have a boat in an American marina etc., patiently waiting for attention, that will bring us Sept 21. Another year down the drain.

U S Homeland Security just announced an extension of the border closing to Sept 21 for Canadians.
That has scuttled our plans to head south with our boat.
However, I hear rumors of Canadians hiring US delivery captains to take their boats accross while they fly in.
Also heard of delivery captains being turned back.
Anyone know for certain which scenario is correct or what department I would contact in US Govt to find out?
