Australian passport, Philippine Passport, Boat Greece, we are in Philippines

Looking for tips, advice, etc.
We are married couple (Australian Passport & Philippines Passport) living in Philippines. Our catamaran is in Bond (on hard, out of use since April 2019) in Greece.
I understand I (Australian) can fly from Philippines via Dubai to Athens but my wife cannot.
My wife can fly to Turkey from Philippines via Dubai and has a visa for Turkey valid until April 2021.
I understand I cannot sail our catamaran from Greece to Turkey - hard to find any info on this.

What do you think I could do to get boat and both of us onboard so we can start cruising the boat back to Philippines?

Get wife Australian citizenship?

It’s not automatic because you’re married?

Can she take a ferry across from Turkey to Greece even if she can’t fly? Can she drive from Turkey to Greece?

certainly turkey & greece are even less friendly that usual at the moment...

what about fly to greece, collect boat, and then meet wife in cyprus (easy to get to cyprus from either greece or turkey)

you might have to solo fm greece to cyprus but it's not far...or pick-up a backpacker

cheers,

Need to spend at least 2 years there and we are not prepared to do that.
Thanks for thought.

I have now heard that can sail from Greece to Turkey but not the other way round. I still cannot find anything official online. Cyprus has the same issues half Greece and half Turkey.

Well, where else can she fly into? Maybe you have to pick something a little bit more distant and do some land transportation. Anywhere in Europe?

Does anyone know if I can sail from Greece to Turkey? I have been advised by some that I can and by others that I cannot. I have not been able to find anything official online.

What about bending the rules?

Is there a boat in turkey she can take out on captained charter to get her off the coast a bit?

Then pick her up from that boat?

With the difficulty you are encountering, maybe she could even pack a small outboard and/or buy a local small skiff to meet you without you checking in to Turkey?

The Australian embassy should be able to confirm if you can enter from Greece. I understand from friends that all Covid restrictions to travel in Turkey have been lifted as of Sept 10.

Meet you wife in Turkey. The hardest part will be sailing from Turkey back to the Philippines given current situation what route?

Got it. I just talk to people in Greece because I remembered this thread. Your wife can fly into turkey and take a bus around over to Greece. That’s not a problem at all.

You can sail from Greece to Turkey, but not from Turkey to Greece.
Not first hand experience, but confirmed by many messages I saw, related to the Greece/Turkey border on this FB group MedSailing

Problem will be getting a Greece Schengen visa. Should really apply in Manila. Else maybe try apply in Turkey.
