where to buy batteries

I know this has been discussed and if the search function worked better... Also this is a moving target as prices fluctuate wildy.

I remember reading here that some purchased direct from Winston and the woman at Winston speaks english and is very helpful. Does anyone know her name/contact info? I believe she is/was a CF member.

I'd like grade A batteries. I know there are some good grade B's out there but it is so difficult to know. Planning on a 400 ah bank.

Julia Yu, Sky Power International sales at skypowerintl dot com JuliaYu on this forum

USD 1 per Ah for Thundersky Winston LiFeYPO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery cells ex-factory.

Several of us in New Zealand recently ordered over 40 cells and combined the shipping. Each set of like cells were consecutive serial numbers and came with factory test certificates.

If you are near San Diego, maybe as far as Oxnard, then San Diego Deep Cycle.

Opps, missed that this was the LFP sub-forum.

When I wet to sky power intl.com I get a weather station website. The search function on CF has always baffled me. Can you provide a link or a way to get a message to Julia? Thanks

Bookmarking this thread. $1 per AH??? My Trojan FLAs cost $1.13 per AH and I can only use half the capacity! So $2.27 per usable AH.

This is miracle pricing for LiFeP04.

Making the conversion next replacement cycle.

Is that for the 12v or 3.2v batteries? They list both on the web site.

Forgive my newbie questions:
If I buy the 3.2v batteries, I need to connect 4 in series to make 12.8v and the price would then be $4 USD per Ah, correct?

My new/old boat has no batteries or panels, so I am starting from zero...

Correct, the LFP battery cells manufactured by Winston, CALB, Sinipoly, etc. are 3.2V cells. To get a 12V battery put four in series for a simple 4S configuration at 12.8V. So it works out to USD4/Ah for 12V. But since lots of people run 24V banks and a few others running 48V it’s easier to express the cost per cell.

The good thing about buying LFP cells is that you can precisely buy exactly the size of bank that you want/need. You also provide your own BMS and relays, etc., so that you’re not reliant on and paying over the top for the not so sure reliable BMS features of so-called drop in batteries.

Re: where to buy batteries

Can someone help me with a supplier of quality Lithium batteries in Australia. I'm looking at 5 x 100ah.
Searching the web, I've found prices ranging from AUD$980 to $2000.
The batteries are for for "house power" on my yacht so should I be looking for something specific?
