Best is airgap
insulation so simply make a case in the case with 1 or 1.5cm airgap an use hollow alu square tube or stiff foam as spacer. The outside you simply make out of 5 or 10mm nylon boards or 3D print a case and Anderson
plug or
route a long cable out with watertide fitting. Also easiest to carry and strapped down in the dingy. Or use a hardcase small
cooling box, soft bags are not handy.
I use for portable 280Ah
batteries the

It's already IP65 rated but can easily modify it waterproof, it's partially hollow and isolates well. 4x280-316AH cells and a JK BMS fit perfectly and an Anderson
plug or any other connector/terminals you like.
You could maybe also fit 1p8S or 1p16S with smaller cells in it too.
