My call aluminum case units are also quite well identifiable. A +and - and the color of the terminals is significantly different

Side question. The 400AH batteries use 14mm bolts. What method did you use for attaching your voltage sense wires ?
I can't find any small-wire ring terminals that have a 14mm eye !!!.
Thinking I might have to make something to have a smaller screw connection point off the terminal, but curious what you / others have done for that.
PS: my batteries arrived and are currently being top-balanced. !

The largest ones I could buy were 1/2” which is 1.3mm smaller diameter, so I drilled them out. Warning: that is not so easy as it sounds, the 14mm drill (I used a step drill) will catch and ruin the terminal, possibly hurting you in the process. You can use a Dremel with grinding or sanding bit as well.
(I used a drill press and made a jig to hold the terminal)
I use 10AWG wiring to enable inline charging of individual cells as well as cell monitoring.

If you do that in a drill press definitely do as suggested make a jig to safely hold the terminal ends.
There will do the job

A 14mm bolt is actually 3/8 inch bolt diameter

Re: Merged LiFeYPO4 1000Ah Winston prismatic cells and all electric galley...
I drilled & tapped (4mm from memory) my 14mm bolts & fitted small binding posts from radio shack etc. I used the same ones, red & black (DC colour code polarity) that go into Hi-Fi speaker boxes, the BMS small eyelet ring terminals go under the head on the thread end.
The insulated colour coded tops accept 4mm banana plug leads that go straight into your DMM to safely do cell voltages, I drilled my clear polycarbonate cover to allow permanent access.
It works well & is quite neat.
Will take a pic & post when I get home next.
Cheers - Leigh

Drilled and tapped the terminal bolts that need voltage sense wires.

Ok so it took a 19 mm wrench ? Just looking for clarification.
A 14mm diameter bolt should take a 19mm wrench unless a special setup bolt .
Mine are 8mm and required a 12mm socket to tighten .
Most people i run into use the wrench size in reference to the bolt size .

Always diameter of bolt for me
That way you don't drill holes twice as big as needed

Myself as well however when referring to a bolt most people I deal with say it's a 14mm bolt mean it takes a 14mm wrench to tighten it

Black is Plus as I wrote on Lishen Eve and Basen well know several new bees which had a nice firework connecting it to minus as you normally do with black

Simply take a ring cable shoe that fits your voltage sensing wire and identify which screw size you need, then drill and tap a hole that fits the screw into the busbar close to the pole.
I have 3p4S setup so the a busbar parallels the 3 cells I simply used the middle of this busbar to drill and tap the hole.

I never even heard that and never ever seen a 14mm bolt sold as 19mm because of wrench size. So tell me, how drilling out a 1/2” terminal makes it 3/8”?

Never said sold as or purchased as .
I just asked for clarification as I stated many people are not smart enough to call a bolt by its real size they call it by the size of wrench it takes to tighten or listen it .
I am a retired shipwright and mechanic I do know the difference just making sure we all here are on the same page.
