LFP Drop-in Batteries filled with foam bumpers

It should be a sales strategy to manufacture an LFp battery with the same size and same Ah capacity as the LA battery with the same Ah capacity. This strategy is designed to fully fill the space occupied by the LA battery, which will replace the Lfp battery.

When Lfp battery cells are compared to LA batteries, the Active-Ah/Volume ratio is about 1/4, and the Active-Ah/Weight ratio is around 1/8. Foam pads coming out of the drop-in batteries made in China are used to fix the lfp cells to this extra wide box. Due to this sales strategy, the Active-Ah/volume ratio is limited to 1/2. The amount of unnecessary filling material, which is problematic to recycle, is unacceptably high in the drop-in battery box.

A company that has solved this problem nicely has developed a very well designed DIY LFP battery set with a sealed drop-in box that can be opened and closed, which does not need unnecessary space filler material.

I'm not sure what this issue you are addressing here is. Lots of LFP manufactures build batteries that are Group24 or Group31 sized, with Ah ratings ranging from about the same as Lead acid, to about 2x the lead-acid equivalent size.
The Sun Fun Kits product isn't unique either. There are numerous DIY G24 and G31 cases to put your own cells in.

Why didn’t you get them? That’s a proper kit where you know what you get.
Exactly the small form factor is one of the goals for LFP, you get more AH in the same space

I already have LFP batteries in good condition and packed in large boxes filled with lots of air. My two drop-in LFP 200Ah batteries are sitting in the old LA battery cavities that are already available. With a little effort, two of these would fit in one box.

Video link and information for seafarers who have not yet invested in dropin LFP batteries. To save space on the boat. You probably won't need it either.

I have 4 LFP 100ah batteries sitting for install. They are also the same size as my current G31 batteries. I have watched numerous tear apart reviews and the builders definitely are making them to be a standard size.
