No. Would take one hell of a side impact on the keel to make one come off. The keel bolts are massive. I suppose the bolts could corrode through. The keels are part steel with a lot of sacrificial foam fore and aft.

A couple years ago, we hit an uncharted reef in the Bahamas at 9 1/2 knots. Took a fist-sized chunk out of the lower leading edge of the stbd keel. Damn near lifted the sterns out of the water! Other than some spilled drinks and bruised ego, no other damage. There's a lot to be said about the construction of Privilege cats. I wouldn't own another brand.
