Places to leave a yacht off season?

Good day all
We are considering a cruise starting in Tahiti and eventually getting to Malaysia and would like recommendations on places where one could safely leave a yacht for 6 to 8 months along the way?

We would like to do this over 2 to 3 seasons so would appreciate any recommendations.

Lots of options in the central Pacific

Tonga - at Neiafu on the hard at The Boatyard or on a cyclone mooring maintained by Beluga Diving

Fiji - on the hard at Vuda Point (they have cyclone pits for keelboats) or in the lagoon at Musket Cove

Vanuatu - there’s a boat yard at Port Vila that can haul you out for the cyclone season

Note that they usually are booked out, especially if you have a larger yacht or a cat, up to a year in advance so once you’ve got an idea of your schedule make sure you contact them.

Another set of options is either NZ, several yards in Whangarei both for storage and service, or AUS (not familiar). If you’re not that keen on the Solomons or PNG then AUS is a good jumping off point for SE Indonesia.

Thanks again for this valuable info. We will plan well in advance. Flights in and visas will have an effect on the decisions too.
