Go to "Trade Tools" they have angle drill. We bought there a year ago.
We also bought a 5.0 & a 6.0 batteries.
Our mast is 20 meters high. No problem winding sales up and even a 100kg bloke up in the chair!!!!

Re: Milwaukee M28 with winchbit - USA to Australia

Hi Brady 50
Thanks for the reply. I went to Trade Tools in Bundaberg the other day, they had the M18CRAD-0 right angle drill there, but they couldn't find out the torque for me, told me they had spoken to Milwaukee Australia, who couldn't tell them either!!! so I didn't buy it.
Is this the one you have or is it another model?
Cheers

Re: Milwaukee M28 with winchbit - USA to Australia

We find the M18 plenty adequate. It hauls me (85kg) up the mast in quick time . Ours is a 45’ cat and the Milwaukee does all mainsail work and furling of headsail and screecher . It won’t tension sails under load . So if you are lazy it will winch in a sail until it really starts to load up and then you have to finish with a winch handle. We love it for lifting our large roached fully battened main and furling sails where we can keep sheet tension so it doesn’t flog and get a tight furl. It also means my wife has to do her share of sail work as she can’t claim lack of strength any more (no interrupted afternoon naps).

Hi Redfin1
Yes we have the M18. Just make sure u buy the big batteries. When the drill starts to slow up we put in reverse (low gear winch) we have no problems

Thanks Brady 50

I'll go and buy the drill and the 2 bigger batteries as you suggest tomorrow from Trade Tools. our boat and mast are a bit smaller than yours - 43ft cat.
Regards
