Bali Tourist Visa On Arrival

Good morning,
I'll be landing in Bali in January and sailing from Lombok to Singapore with a friend' sailing boat. I have a return flight from Singapore already. Just wondering what I should do for the visa.
A RETURN air flight ticket (or one way outward journey from Bali) is required to get the VISA. Is it a ferry ticket to Lombok sufficient to get the Visa or do I need a letter from the Captain as well?

I have heard that the easiest thing to do is to buy a fully-refundable return air ticket then cancel it once you are in the country.

It's an Indonesian Immigration requirement, so a ferry ticket to Lombok is not good enough (Lombok is Indonesia...).

Get a fully refundable one-way air ticket Bali to Singapore (or Malaysia), then cash it in once in Bali.
