Any other forum members doing the Hobart?

Not doing the race but radio operator at "Hobart Race Control".

Quick update:

Survived the first 24 hours when over 30 boats had to retire.
Crew and boat in good shape and the forecast was looking for us to make really good time.
Then fell into multiple holes in the wind that added up to over 2.5 days sitting around going nowhere.
Eventually had to retire as we were going to run out of drinking water before making the finish line
Finally made it to Hobart on 3 Jan even with being able to motor through more calms.
Estimate that, if we had continued racing, we wouldn’t have reached the finish until 4 Jan. Every other time we’ve finished on 31 Dec.

Oh, well, next time…
