Surveyor recommendations Fort Lauderdale

Might be looking to get a boat surveyed in Fort Lauderdale (pre-purchase), anyone have any recommendations for a good surveyor there? Not after the cheapest, want someone we can trust (we're in Australia) cheers and thank you

this guy surveys both hull and equipment a lot of surveyors only do one or the other.
One thing you should be aware of is that no surveyor is going to check your rigging. I recently had a buyer looking at a 44 Lagoon, and luckily they followed my recommendation to have the rig surveyed, as a massive crack was found at the masthead, and if we had taken the boat like that, would have in all likelihood lost the mast.

You would need to contact a rigger, I don't know anyone well enough to recommend one, but Mr. Cozzi would probably be your best bet as He probably has had experience with them.

For rigging, I recommend Roger at Nance & Underwood in Fort Lauderdale. They aren't cheap, but they are good. (954) 764-6001. Tell Roger that Michael Duvall referred you. BTW, they also provide some awesome sails from Mack Sails. Good luck!

I second the recommendation for Ceal. She goes up the stick and if she sees something fishy she will show you the pics.

There are surveyors who go up the mast, check hull, equipment, current leakage and much more. In my case, they like to work for buyers who discuss the survey ahead of time, lay out a game plan, then everyone show up and do a proper inspection.
