Experience (1980s) tells me to avoid Hole in the Wall in anything but absolutely slack water-any tidal movement and waters quickly approach 10 knots. Soyez prudent!

We transited it last year (at slack) and it was totally benign. I keep wanting to go back to some of these tidal rapids in a jet boat when they are running just to prove to myself we aren't being over cautious
