Marinas in Miami?

Hello everyone - looking for help please? Planning my first long distance (for me) trip on my 2007 Lagoon 420 from North Carolina to Miami and then over to Nassau via Bimini Islands and Berry Islands then Christmas & New Year in the Exumas - and possibly next three months?. I plan to arrive in Miami end November/early December. I will need to leave my boat for a couple of weeks in Miami while I need to get some things done at home before hopefully shooting off about 19th December over to Bimini Islands with my family aboard. I'm looking to make everything as easy as possible for me so can anyone recommend a marina in Miami which will be safe and secure for my boat but also easy to locate from Atlantic and ICW (route to Miami from West Palm Beach, as everything, will be weather dependent) and good to "Jump off" to get across the Gulf Stream to Bimini Islands. For example I came across great reviews for Fisher Island Club & Marina but seems to cater more for the bigger motor yachts? Just don't know the area . THANK YOU! Mike.

Suggest you try Harbour Towne in Ft Lauderdale. Safe & secure, close to airport, no bridges from marina to inlet.

Re: Marinas in Miami?

If it is only a couple of weeks, why not just anchor at marina stadium in key Biscayne? Is well protected and quite safe. Another option is to try to get a transient mooring at Crandom Park Marina. Is on the other side of key Biscayne

Another vote for a mooring at Crandon. I would NOT leave my boat anchored for three weeks unattended at the stadium, that is madness.
