Google Fi

Google Fi's cell coonection has now been down for 5 days in Martinique.

Are users in atany other islands experiencing the same outage?

Re: Google Fi

Google is an MVNO, they just piggyback off the actual local network provider.

If that company is not having a physical / technical outage, it's possible I suppose the business relationship changed?

Their CS / tech support is pretty good, give their chat a go

Re: Google Fi

I have been in contact with the Google Form chat desk via a local wifi provider - no eplaonation of the outage, nor any real help. They keep running through their standard scripts based on on a problem with my phone, yet I have talked with multiple other users who are also cut off.

Re: Google Fi

Have you asked who the actual local provider is, that owns and operates the cell towers? Google has nothing to do with that part afaik.

Here in the US my Fi service uses TMO or Sprint, so I'd need to contact either of them to find out if their infrastructure was having issues.

Buying a local SIM card may be another workaround approach, both for testing or using in production in the meantime.
