Downwind kayak sail

So I bought a kayak sail from Amazon a few days ago. Excited and eager to begin sailing my kayak, I tied it down (this one didn't have a bungee cord system like most others have) in what I thought was the correct spots. When I got out in the bay though, most of my time was spent fixing the sail, as it would never seem to catch any wind, even when it was in the correct position. I dont believe it is my sailing ability, as I have another more traditional kayak sail on my other kayak. Has anyone else had problems with this kind of product? Or is there some kind of trick to setting up the sail? Thanks in advance for the help.Click image for larger version
