A Canadian purchased a Michigan boat. Moving it to New York State. Registration in NY

I am an Ontario, Canada resident. I bought a boat I'm Michigan. I am moving it to New York State where it will be its home. Can I register it in New York State?

I can’t answer your question entirely but as resident of another state I easily registered a boat in NY. But NY is nuts about proper identification so take your drivers license, passport, and whatever else you can muster up. They assign points for each form of ID and it must add up to 6. Good luck.
