Having recently changed to a
motor yacht and returned to the
Med west coast, we are finding the climate in tha Languedoc area too hostile for a
living aboard spell in January, we are researching the Spanish coastline. I am fairly aware of the possibilities for annual berthing as far south as
Cartagena, but for further south I have little knowledge.
Would anyone like to share experiences of the coast south to Gib. Most of our requirements are similar to must liveaboards, somewhere with domestic services,
shopping, coffee bars, restaurants etc. The
motor boat choice should provide hints of advancing years, of no particular need to move about, but of little ability not to worry about how to keep
funding the lifestyle!
Recent years experiences are of substantial increase in berthing costs.
Would appreciate any comment. Ipapadi of Londonderry is 12.5m Trader Tarquin. Berthing costs in NW
Med coast seem to be heading in excess of €6k.
