I am also looking for a recommendation for surveyor in the French Med area for a very close friend who is looking to purchase a pre-owned Lagoon. Did you ever find someone? and how did it work out?

I am surprised by the number of threads on this forum asking for surveyor recommendations with either no responses or no real recommendations????

Yes it will cost a return flight plus 1 nights hotel bill but... its in English and he/she will be a member of an association accredited to insurance companies standards..

I have used this guy for insurance and boat buyers survey he operates along the Golfe du Lion and Costa

This topic is a bit older, but I wanted to introduce myself:
I have been a yacht surveyoyr in Spain since 2008.
My base is Alicante, Costa Blanca, but I also work in the rest of Spain including the Balearic and Canary Islands, Portugal, Italy and the South of France.
I speak fluent Spanish and French and can speak some Portuguese, which is always useful when carrying out the survey on site.

We like one and we agree with the price, equipment, we did videoconferencing etc it seems really good, but of course..we would like to find surveyor in Norway, Bergen. We started to search on Google, but we found just industrial marine companies but not for private pre purchase inspection..Could you help us how we can

You do realise the boat will be liable for VAT when you bring it into the EU.. also make sure it has a CE Certificate.

Hello boatman61, thank you for your advice .
we already informed from the Spanish authorities that said us..when buying the second hand boats from no EU just need to pay the transmission tax 8% , but after received your message we decided to go again to talk with gestoria to understand well this process. We are really appreciated for this community because now we are informed that exist app or groups for orcas ..and we are a bit preoccupied to navigate from Norway to Spain . Greetings

In my opinion the best way to find a local trustable surveyor would be to contact an official Norwegian sailing association.
