Charter Sailing Holiday in Italy

I'm wondering what the feedback on a charter vacation in Italy is.

It doesn't seem to come up that much. Lots of chartering in Greece, Croatia and of course the Caribbean, but not much about Italy.

Is that just because its something that isn't on the radar screen here in the US?

Thoughts appreciated.

There are very good charter companies in Italy. Boats are very well maintained however...you need an ICC to rent a boat and that is the big difference with many other countries.

except sardegna,what to do in italy. around 80-100 000 italian boat every august crossing to Croatia side adriatic. also big number is to greece.
around this couple italian island you have huge competition for marina slip.
but if you want make sailing plan and make reservation in marina for season 2025-2026. Mostly 90% marina in italy is lot cheaper ws Croatia. normally except this multibillionaire marina ,and multibillionaire restaurant.
in my city Split we have litle more 2000 charter sailboat, 1200 fast taxi boat, close 1000 40-100 meter long yacht.

but we also have over +20 000 bay,cove and what greek dont have short sail from 1-island to another. and wind is week in summer.

i just return before 2 week from italy. i suprise how in winter restaurant and hotel is cheap. but trafic on road is crazy,pain in ass travel from 1 town to other. truck,truck. also i make huge mistake i take hotel in center of town. next year i go again but this time i stay 3 days in every town.
italy is lot changed in last 10 year,i never in my life see so many police on street road,gas station

First of all; What period
Many places in Italy (All Sardinia, Egadi and Eolie in Sicily, Pontine like Ponza e Ventotene, and many others) are like Paradise from half May to the first week of July, and then in September;
but they are like Hell from mid July to the end of August!!

Like Croatia is hell in sea august because come this over 100 000 italian boat with italian,i can imagine all coast full italian
But italian from may to august and late in september is really good totally different people.Quite,plesant quest. but this rude with big motorboat,rib with 3x300-400 PS engine,all family yelling all day. But in last couple year is little ridiculous, young stay on deck and all day sending voice message,on street some. Sailboat ws motor yacht totaly different also people. But also croat with motor boat not big different like italian,all day cooking,drinking,loud talking on phone.where are you in Italy,i suprise how is Trieste change,Trieste is now full of life. bar restorant open deep in night.Price is not to expensive except food in supermarket,this is crazy.how you live
