Hi there, New boat owner in Singapore. Looking for info on best way to clear Malaysian customs for trip up to east coast islands of Malaysia, from Singapore? Pulau Sibu, Tioman etc

Welcome to the forum Craigfishboy and congratulations re the new boat. I've cleared in and out of Singapore from Raffles Marina as well as at "The Sisters" in Singapore straits but that might have changed in recent times. There was some trouble a year or two ago where a catamaran with guests on board entered Singapore to commit a crime without clearing in or out and things got a lot less accommodating at immigration and customs after that.

What marina are you at? I know at Changi Sailing club they take care of all the paperwork for us as they are our agent. I believe an agent is required but I would check with your marina...
