Phuket to Japan

What's the passage like from Phuket to Japan?


Can you comfortably hop along the coast of Thailand, Malaysia, then out to the Philipines and Okinawa without too much ocan crossing and crazy weather?


Are there plenty of places to stop along the way? Where should I look to find out the location of balls, marinas and slips.



How much sailing experience should you have before you attempt that journey, in your opinion?



Could you motor it?



What resources are out there for me to swat up on, in order to find out the answers to these and many other questions, and learn as much as I can about doing this route at a future time?
