milk powder and ghee
I am looking for full cream milk powder in Hong Kong. Fusion supermarkets don't seem to have it.
Also, is there anywhere here I can purchase ghee?
thanks in advance.

Try looking for a place that specialises in Indian foods.

well, not really. the milk powder is mainly for having lots of cold milk drinks on passage, and the ghee is an alternative to butter, which can keep for long periods without refrigeration. i use it to put in my bulletproof coffee, among other things.

Isn't Fusion a sub-brand of ParknShop that caters to ex-pats?
At the less selective ParknShop stores, both in-store and on-line, you can buy full cream powdered milk (as well as low fat/skimmed powdered milk). For example:
https://www.parknshop.com/en/instant...er/p/BP_250134
And similarly you'll find big mobs of places selling ghee, such as:
https://www.spicestore.hk/en/cooking...-ghee-2lb.html
and
https://www.youstorehk.com/index.php...s-ghee-1l.html

Re: milk powder and ghee
If you can find the Nestle brands "Klim" (read that backwards, yes) or "Nilo" they are who powdered milk, solid in the South American and Central American markets under two different names. And, brought back into the US market for sale here, because there is no domestic source. I suspect they may be available in the "ethnic" or "not quite Spanish" market aisles if you have those. They're usually stocked next to powdered chocolate milk, Kwik, and similar products, with no real clear indication that they're "just" powdered whole milk.
And here in the US, if you buy Klim with a bilingual label (US/SP) it actually costs more than the container next to it with the spanish-only label.
Or you may be able to contact Nestle to find out if they are shipping anything similar into Indonesia.
You might also be able to find powdered coconut milk over there. Available in health food stores in the US, not the same as milk milk, but it can make tasty adulterated coffee.

Hong Kong, being an open economy, does import Klim powdered cow's milk.
If you're keen to see the range of brands of powdered cow's milk in Hong Kong - a range that includes several high calcium brands - take a look at the range carried by ParknShop:

They should be available in the more affluent areas because bowel cancer rates have rocketed there in recent years as they've begun to adopt the western diet.

Re: milk powder and ghee
I have been experimenting with hard tack and looking at different recipes. Yesterday, on the suggested videos in the same channel, there was this ghee thing I never heard before.
I just watched the video, it seems really easy to make.

Re: milk powder and ghee
If you've ever had Maine lobster with butter? You've had ghee.
Ghee is just the new buzzword for what French chefs have long called clarified butter: "Clarified butter, also called Ghee in Indian cuisine, is simply butter with the milk proteins, sugars and water removed. "
If you need to store real butter (or hard cheese) without refrigeration, one way to do that is b submerging it in a jar of vegetable oil, which excludes the air and prevents it from oxidizing and going rancid.
Some of the best galley tips for sailors come from 120-year old household cookbooks, a number of which are now available as PDFs on the web. Back then, not having an icebox or a blender and needing to know just which parts of a chicken were edible, was basic and important stuff for new immigrants and housewives.

Re: milk powder and ghee
Do you have homemade butter? If yes, then just heat it up the stove. You will get the desi ghee. Otherwise, you can visit a nearby store where you would able to get Indian food etc.

Re: milk powder and ghee
Have you considered the expense of provisioning in HK ? It is #1 (with Singapore and Paris) most expensive country on the planet - I know I life here.
The advice Park n Shop, Welcome (Uk Tesco's) - but you will pass out at the prices.
