Where to Go Around the Chesapeake Bay ?

We just arrived in 'Washington DC and are planning to drive up north to Philadelphia through the Chesapeake area. Is there a particular route with beautiful scenery that we could take up the Chesapeake. Would like to go to the inner harbour area.

Any sailing supply stores, museums, used gear, etc?....

Don't miss Annapolis. Lots of boats, chandleries, restaurants, lovely old structures. Bacon and Offshore Outfitters have tons of used gear and sails. Baltimore is also lovely, particularly the Inner Harbour, Aquarium, etc.

If you have time, the Eastern Shore offers lots of interesting places, including Kent Island, St. Michaels, Oxford, etc.

You could spend a week or a lifetime exploring the 5K miles of shoreline of the Chesapeake and its tributaries.

Then, there's Philthy-delphia :-) Oh, well. They do have good steak sandwiches, though!

Slicing a Rib-Eye (Delmonico), then putting Cheese Whiz on it, is a culinary travesty.
