Sail Locker

We are relatively new to the community and have a question on what a good sailing wardrobe would look like. We have recently purchased a Dufour 525 with the following sails

Furling 140% Genoa
Code 4 Staysail Jib
Traditional Main with battens
Code 0 Sail
Asymmetrical Spinnaker

Our plans and to sail around the Solent in the UK for a few months before sailing her down to the Med for a few years and in the long run sail her to Australia. We have had some advice that we should get a 100% headsail before heading off. Does this make sense and should we be looking at another sails as well.

I guess i am interested in what others have in their sail locker.

Re: Sail Locker

For going offshore I’d get a trysail and storm jib (aren’t they a requirement for offshore rating anyway) and then yes a smaller jib would be useful.

Re: Sail Locker

Start using your boat, it is very well equipped. Your own experience with the new to you boat will give you the answers you are looking for. Most captains here are in an armchair .
