Renew Battery in ACR Satellite2 406 Epirb

Does anyone know how to renew the battery in a Satellite2 406 Epirb and what the battery identification type and number is?

You have to return it to an authorized service center, if the unit itself is over 10 years old they will not replace it. It is not cheap. This is not a do it yourself project. But then you if you need to use it you likely want it to work right!

I do, but would not do it. Its there to save your life, send to accredited service station, get then to change battery and test the EPIRB
