Ive been twice to the coast of Northern Africa in the past 2 months, once in Spain owned Ceuta and the other time in Marina Smir in Morocco! What do you want to know? Smir was a nice small marina, good value, with a couple of small coffee bars and Tea rooms, the locals seemed pleased to have the business and we were able to speak English and Spanish! Both places were about a 3 hour sail or so from Gibraltar! ¨checking in ¨ was very relaxed and informal! Showers were clean and tidy! I hear that its a lot cheaper to get work done on your boat there than in Spain for example!

Just looking for general information. I own a house in Kenitra on the Atlantic side and will be sailing to Maroc in the next year or so.

I have a little info on the operation in Rabat but not much else.

With 10-30 USD per day being a good wage labor should be inexpensive.
