Maximum height on Western Erie Canal

A group of us is planning to go west from Cayuga Lake towards Buffalo. Cruising guides and different chart books shows different clearances for same bridges. A friend who piloted tugs across the Erie years ago insists that the minimum clearance is 20 feet while the web indicates 15.5 and the chart book shows 15. What is the lowest fixed bridge clearance?

Re: Maximum height on Western Erie Canal

Lowest bridge on the Western Erie is 15.5 feet at normal water levels. The Eastern Erie and the Oswego Canals are good to 21 feet.
