Yacht services - Epoxy Ushuaia

I'm helping a yacht sailing to Ushuaia who will need some epoxy work. They might have to do it themselves but checking to see if anyone has a contact for someone in Ushuaia who is knowledgeable with epoxy.

Thanks in advance for any referrals!

Is this the Ushuaia near Cape Horn?

Re: Yacht services - Epoxy Ushuaia

I don't think there is another Ushuaia.

Pretty enterprising people down there on both sides of the Beagle but I can't point you in the direction of anyone in particular.
Push comes to shove and if it is major they could fly someone down from Puerto Montt to Puerto Williams. I've known of that happening before.

Are they part of the group of 5 boats on their way down from FP towards the Horn at the moment?

PS - tell them not to think of going directly through Chilean waters to Ushuaia - that will end in serious tears.

Very good attachment EP. With those tides, one had better have their sailing s#!t together in that area.

Thanks El Pinguino. A boat's rudder hit a UFO. Will probably DIY the repair but just wanted to check on potential resources.

Your document is fantastic! I hope to make it down there sometime on my boat, so I'll be saving that wonderful resource. But those five boats are on their own since they can't receive outside nav assistance. Cheers!

Re: Yacht services - Epoxy Ushuaia

I have heard of a boat being lifted outfor FG work in Pto Natales but that is a fair way up the coast. There is also a T/lift at Williams but not sure of its current status.
Resin and stuff easy to get down from Montt by ferry.
Thanks for the kind words. There is also Chile stuff right here on the Cruising Wiki - see top of page.
Also if the wx is against them they don't have to go as far as the Horn, they can enter the channels through Bahia Thompson.
