Visa and requirement for Red Sea, EU and UK

We are planning to cruise from Thailand to the UK via the Red Sea. This is going to be the first big passage and I have no experience with getting visas for arrival on boats. I am a Thai passport holder and it is required for us to apply for visa but does anyone has any suggestion or have similar experience?

That’s an impossible question to summarize. Each country has its own rules, and there are dozens between Thailand and the UK.

Have you visited Noonsite.com to do research on where you plan to stop? Thats a good place to start.

Start with Noonsite and then go to individual countries' websites to get details. Some countries require you get a visa ahead of time - give yourself lots of time for this. The visa on-arrival is no big deal. Just more bureaucratic bumpf to deal with when you get to a port of entry. Often, but not always, you need to visit more than one office for different reasons. Have multiple copies of your paperwork and smile a lot.

I have a British friend who married a Thai in Thailand. Once they got to the Med, they were not allowed into any EU countries. They ended up living in Turkish Cyprus for 5 years until she could get an English passport.
