Voyager of the Seas rescue off Morocco

Voyager of the seas on Nov 15, 2024 rescued 4 adults, 2 young children and a dog off of Morocco. All appeared to be ok and are safely aboard now headed to Las Palmas in the Canary Islands.

Re: Voyager of the Seas rescue off Morocco

I love it that the kids bikes were out and ready for the abandon ship. What is strange though is losing a mast and the only visible damage on the whole boat is a piece of the pulpit missing. I guess with a 3 wire rig you only have a few clevis pins ( could be as few as 2), a vang and the mainsheet to release and the whole rig is free to leave. Surely they wouldn’t leave port with the mast deliberately removed, it would be quite uncomfortable aboard without the rig.

Our books have gotten 5 star reviews on Amazon. Several readers have written "I never thought I would go on a circumnavigation, but when I read these books, I was right there in the cockpit with Vinni and Carsten"

Apparently the cruise ship engineers tried to get the yacht engine running but failed.
