Moss Landing Fire

Here is a link to some information about this Lithium Iron battery fire: https://www.latitude38.com/lectronic...orage-facility

Note, this was a power-saver deal for the electric company, a 750MW/3,000MWh storage battery, not like boat LiFeP04s.

The articles contain many more links. I wonder how this has affected the marina there, but not news on it here as I write.

Re: Moss Landing Fire

The wind was light and blowing away from the marina. The fire is still smoldering with occasional flareups. It was right next door to a larger Tesla battery installation. Still trying to find out which type of Lithium batteries they were using. We could see the fire from Santa Cruz.

Wow, Don, that must have been muy emocionante! -- very emotional. Glad it was blowing away from the marina.

I hope there is more news tomorrow.
