Heaving to in a searunner 37 trimaran
Hi, I'm about to do a coastal
passage
in
New Zealand
with two crew from North Cape to Nelson, and would like to hear of experiences heaving to in heavy
weather
in a
searunner
37 or similar.
Cheers, Brian

The drag device database
https://dragdevicedb.com/category/drogues-on-trimarans
has exactly what you're looking for. Jim brown has recommendations (although dated, still relevant) in 'the Case for the cruising
trimaran
, which I believe should be available online
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...GrGdxOjCNTuOpP
for free on his web site outrig media

Re: Heaving to in a searunner 37 trimaran
Heaving to in heavy
weather
is a poor choice in a light
boat
.
You may consider running or some other option.
