TOTAL LOSS

that's it, very predictable, doesn't matter how much the indians gesticulate around the inferno

Funny how bulkers are way safer than General Cargo ships of today, namely, PCTC, Ro-Ro, ferries, box-ships, etc... with the exception of heavy lifts cargoes -them, they know their business.

Transporting cargoes in bulk, like ore or grains is an older knowledge, much more ancient than all those new hyped stuff, go figure, even chemical or LNG tankers are safer.

I bet much more casualties will occur before they even get it that playing with fire has its limits. Would they even think on operating smaller ships? nope!

Probably someone lied on the Bill of Lading to save a few bucks on special handling charges.

Carried a cargo of 15K tons of nitrates and also had about 300 tons of diesel on board, from Safi to Rangoon. Went through Suez.

Back in the mid seventies no one gave it a second thought....
