Any of these would go a long way to taking me off the grid. And that would be pretty nice.
and an LI battery/bank would be a dream.

Thanks for the chance to win!
Cheers!

The giveaways sound great. If I was to use the discount, I would be eyeing two of the GV-10-Pb (http://www.bruceschwab.com/uploads/2...nd-pricing.pdf)

Re: June Giveaway - Ocean Planet Energy

Very interested in learning more about solar panel electrical generation in general, and specifically walk-on panels. Question: what are the differences between the Aurinco and Solara panels.

Thanks for entering me in the contest!

Re: June Giveaway - Ocean Planet Energy

We are new to our Gulfstar 37, and so far have met our goal to NOT plug in while aboard. 17 days straight no genset, no shore power, but we have to carefully monitor our batteries as they are charged by old panels. We would LOVE to add some of those rugged panels designed to be walked on. Our dream of a tech heavy boat with no need for a leash to shore would be met.

With a site as in depth as yours, I'll bet we could find the help we need to make them happen.

Thanks for sharing your site and we'll browse a lot to make our 'new old boat' better than we got it.

Re: June Giveaway - Ocean Planet Energy

A new alternator would be great as my balmar just stopped working and I can't get parts or support....
Thanks!

Re: June Giveaway - Ocean Planet Energy

Our boat only has a tiny trickle charging panel now, so we need to upgrade. These will fit on the dodger:

and then of course we'll need a good MPPT controller:
