Giveaway - FAQs & Your Comments
I have noticed there are several questions going unanswered on our current Giveaway thread (which I have to delete in accordance with the rules), so this thread is for you to ask those questions. I'll start by copying some posts over.
NOTE: This is NOT the competition thread. If you post links here they will be ignored, and not entered into the draw!
The competition thread can be found here:

I have just posted a quick reply but I can't see it at the forum.

As a new member who has probably signed up just to win an anchor, you are subject to Spam controls! New members may experience some delay in their posts appearing, since their links need to be approved by a moderator.
That said, welcome aboard, and I hope you stick around long enough to enjoy what we have to offer.

You could, if you can afford the air fare and excess baggage. I hear it's quite nice over there. But it might be cheaper to just have it shipped...

I don't know what a URL is.
|
It's a link. You simply click on the anchor you want, copy the websiteaddress.com from the white rectangle box at the top of the page, and paste it into a new post.
If you are on a Windows PC, you can usually copy text such as URLs by highlighting the text (double clicking often works), right clicking your mouse, and selecting the 'copy' choice. To paste a URL into a post, you right click in the text box, and select the 'paste' choice.
If you're on another sort of machine, then it's to be hoped you already know what you're doing.
I hope this helps.

How can I chose my lucky number?

You can't. Unless you wait up with your post prepared, watching the iSpy feed scroll by, counting posts as they go, and are lucky enough to hit the reply button at exactly the right nanosecond. Good luck with that

Re: February CF Giveaway - Win a Mantus Anchor!
Can someone please close this thread? I mean, otherwise, there's NO WAY I can win this!
1319 views - what a GREAT marketing idea. I mean, we ALL hit their website to choose our new anchor!

Re: Giveaway - FAQs & Your Comments
I know I just screwed up any chance as the link did not take
(sure my fault but did copy and paste) and afraid will
make matters worse by trying to edit post. Apologies for
being a problem child.

No worries, I have deleted the post, so you are welcome to post again with a link. Just be patient, sometimes the links need to be approved by a moderator

Re: Giveaway - FAQs & Your Comments
For next month's give-away, can you see if Leopard would like to contribute a 48-footer?

The first step would be to tempt them onboard as a vendor... you got an in? Feel free to invite them along!

Re: Giveaway - FAQs & Your Comments
Looks like you are getting so many hits that I can't even get on the page! It hangs after entering the URL , just says multipurpose boatanchors|mantusanchors and sits there on a blank page....been 10 minutes and tried several times.

Re: Giveaway - FAQs & Your Comments
Purchased first boat Aug 2011. However, have it all apart for a refubishing. It's a 40 foot C&C. ALso got a Zodiac, and have never been sailing. So, I would start first using the dingy as I honestly believe the 40 footer won't be completed for another couple of years. I could use a shiny anchor for the Zodiac, so I think. They sure do look nice.,
and my birthday is also this month. This would be a unique Valentines day gift to myself as well
