My Whitehaven 11.8m by Mark Pescott has been meticulously built from Western Red Cedar planking encapsulated in West System Epoxy Glass Fibre.
The asking price has been reduced to $179,000 AUD .(approx $140,000 US) reflecting my neccessity to sell .
She is a very comfortable and roomy cruiser , with two double cabins each side .
She is a sailors boat and has many well thoughout features , easily mounted aft steps aft steps and long lounge benches in the cockpit .
Her galley and separate pantry is huge and well thought out providing bench space and storage cupboards leading into the aft freezer fridge.
A recent refit /new paint has added a hard top bimini over the excellant centrally positioned helm,you can see all fours corners from here without moving and never get wet .
The battery banks are charged from over 400 watts of Unisolar panels .
Huge Power is from a central mounted 60 hp Yamaha that conveniently lifts clear for added sailing performance.
She is currently stored on the hard in Phuket and will pass any survey .

Cats designs are always balancing windage/freeboard vs. interior room. Kudos to the Whitehaven design on that score. I'm sure she'll sell fast, condition allowing.

She was built in 2005 by a very dedicated perfectionist, who for instance gel coated the interior of the storage lockers after glassing to inspect for pinhole imperfections .
The build method of Western Red Cedar and West System Epoxy is exceptionally well done.
Built in a proffessional boat yard of Shaun Arber in Brisbane .
I believe Shaun contributed to the very high quality interior joinery being from solid New Guinea Rose Wood .
The real wood trim features do create a nice ambience beyond the ever present plastic veneers of many production boats .
Overall condition of this boat is very good .
