INFINI is a Westsail 43, designed by Bill Crealock, hull number 49 (of the 65 43’s built), factory built in 1979. Basics: LOA 42’11’ LOD 33’4” BEAM 13.0’ DRAFT 5.8’; ballast 11000 lbs lead; disp 31000lbs.; The W-43’s are the aft cockpit configuration of the W-42’s. The basic hull of the 43 and the 42 is the same, but the deck, cockpit and interior layout are completely different. Sturdily built, those of you interested in specifics can reference the Westsail Owners Association website (www.westsail.org) for more information. These 43’s sail well, are comfortable, forgiving, and as I’ve said, solidly built. We purchased her in Annapolis, Md. in 1998, and brought her down to Florida via the ICW. She had just completed a four year circumnavigation by her previous owners. Her original owner owned her for 16 years; so we are the third owners of this vessel. Infini has the standard V-berth configuration forward, followed by a head/shower to port, and bins and large hanging locker to starboard. In the salon, a large Refleks diesel heater is found, and both port and starboard settees allow double berth accommodations. The drop-leaf salon table seats six easily. Further aft to starboard is a custom navigation station including large chart table and electronics. To port is the U-shaped galley, with custom cabinets for glassware and dishes overhead and a large pantry nearby. The four burner propane stove and oven is to port and a large double sink with 12V hot/cold FW mixer as well as separate foot pumps for FW and SW . Spanning this is the custom 5 cu ft freezer as well as 5 cu ft refrigerator. A wet locker and quarter berth are to port aft. The master stateroom with closets and lockers is to starboard aft. The engine room is aft behind the companionway steps, and the lazarette is aft of the cockpit. Voluminous storage is found throughout as well as under the floorboards.
