Westerly 33 Ketch SAILBOAT for sale in Saint Martin, Caribbean.

I'm selling my 12m LOA sailboat urgently.

Just crossed Atlantic this year & equiped to circumnavigate & with a lot of extras, spares, etc. 12mx3.5mx1.68m
The boat has 2 separate double cabins (fore & aft) & 1 double bunk in what would be a walkthrough, a bathroom with shower, a well equiped galley with a 2 Burner stove + oven, pressurized sweet & saltwater, lots of storage and a big new fridge with freezer. You´ll also find a 1.9m headroom throughout the boat.

It has a 2m centre-cockpit layout, 4 big winches, a swimming platform, bowsprit, windvane, 270L water SS tank +100L extra...

The boat is a heavy displacement boat, very seaworthy and steady blue water cruising sailboat that was equiped to circumnavigate but my plans have changed so mi selling her with all thats on her.
She has tons of storage alround and therefore there are uncountable extra items that aren´t listed.

Its the fin keel version with a draught of 1.65m.

No, we actually crossed half a year ago and were ready to head of to the pacific next year but some family issues have made us stop the circumnavigation for a few years. Sadly.

This looks like a lot of boat and equipment for this price.
Water maker, lot of solar and battery etc...
Bad timing, In a couple years time I would be all over it, including the diving equipment.
It feels good to see deals like that around, gives me hope for the future.

If this boat were located in Europe, I would be interested, but unfortunately I don't have enough experience yet to buy it in the Caribbean and sail it back myself.

Nevertheless, a few questions if I may (answer at your discretion):

The diesel engine has obviously been replaced by an electric motor and a large battery bank. How did/does that solution play out? I imagine that even with 750AH, the range for motoring would be quite limited.

The description mentions 1000W of solar panels but the photo from the mast top shows only what may be two panels mounted vertically on the lifelines (?). Where are the other panels mounted?

Can the battery bank for the motor be charged from solar, and where does the power for running the water maker come from?

I'd be interested if I had the experience to sail it from sint maarten to the us....I'm a strong believer in electric propulsion (what brand?). The price of the boat with all that's on it, is amazing......I'm sure you'll sell it pretty quick.
