No we would not sell 34' Cabo Rico for $20,000 but you could buy any sailboat for $20000 and then spend a lot of time and money getting it seaworthy or just start with a well-maintained quality boat and start sailing.

You're preaching to the choir here. However, 20 to 90 is a pretty big leap. I do agree that the OP will have to put some money into any boat after they buy it but if the motor & sails are good they shouldn't have to throw a huge sum at it. I think it's pretty safe to assume that if the OP could afford a $90,000 boat they wouldn't have a $20,000 budget.

Re: wanting to buy 33-40 ft ready to go in south Fl

Good morning everyone, sorry for my extended absence on the forum !
We were contacted by a member on this site and made the drive to the West Coast and purchased a Gemini 3000 catamaran. We are now in our second week of ownership of the vessel and love her more everyday. We have been working extensively cleaning her up and getting her ready for our voyage. Such tasks include fabricating new rudders ( red oak and glass and epoxy) which will be much stronger than current rudders which were left in the water too long, adding an additional solar panel, tuning the mast (uppers with norseman) general clean up, repairing the stitching on the jib sail etc... I will include pictures soon.

thank you to all who offered positive feedback, we have been living aboard for two weeks now and the dogs are loving it too.

Re: wanting to buy 33-40 ft ready to go in south Fl

Hi Ryan & Chantal, I have a beautiful Whitby 42 Ketch that is well worth 90K but I am in a financial bind and need to sell as soon as possible. The boats name is Shared Dreams and I have owned her for 4years and lived on her for 2yr . The owners before me where also Canadian, and lived on her in Guatemala for 7 years. With some minor work she is ready for the open water. I had her out in the Gulf 250 miles off shore just a few months ago. It was a great sail ! I would love to send you pics & info, send me your email,or call me at 405-850-9242 and I would be happy to tell you all about her. I am willing to take 55K for her.
Talk to you soon Ken

If unimpressed I might consider a bid on my Morgan 33 O/I fully equipped, interior unimpressive.

This is out of budget but..........truly turn key sitting in Georgetown ready to really go! Just sailed down the East Coast from Natucket solo and a few trips back and forth to the Bahamas.

Food for thought Will deliver it anywhere on the East Coast, Caribbean (eastern or western) or Europe.

All the best!
