Re: Want to buy Lagoon 40
And with those comments, don’t forget the price lists that were shared on your other post: New Or Used Lagoon 40?

We’re on our 2nd year still looking.
Good luck

Re: Want to buy Lagoon 40
Then I must say you missed the Lagoon 400 at Croatia , it was sold on Dec ,listed price was 238.000€ and they almost waited 5 months for a buyer. I don't know the final price but I think around 225.000€.
We want to have the boat by the end of 2021 maybe its a good idea to pay %10 upfront and wait for 2 years for a new one.
My friend owns a marine shop and I know the price of almost everything ,their profit margin is crazy.

Re: Want to buy Lagoon 40
No, we saw the post but have no interest in a Lagoon. I meant that we’re on our 2nd year of searching for our “final” boat, and that it takes time and patience. Just getting out on multiple boats for comparison takes time. We missed one great boat, but the market is now slowing down and adjusting, so there’ll be more used boats in the near future, and at much better prices. No more 5 yr old boats for 25k less than they paid.

Re: Want to buy Lagoon 40
I totally agree with you.
May I ask which boat is your final decision and not a Lagoon?

Re: Want to buy Lagoon 40
I doubt the market will come down any soon, the hurricanes have wiped out complete charter fleets, they buy the whole production slots ahead. Cheaper boats are very likely salvaged or restored vessels.
And the prices for new boats are rising with each boat show.

Yes but did you watch Dragi today?
Recession in Europe is not too far.. Yellow vests in France, brexit,Italy budget,China slowing....
Noone knows but 2019 is not going to be a good year but if the markets get over 2019 ,2020 is the crash. I don't think they will have the same demand for cats . You know Bavaria right?
They are about to finish production.

Re: Want to buy Lagoon 40
We are still debating; undecided as of now.
As for the market slowing, that info came from sales reps for two different brands.
Whatever happens, “money talks;” it will change back yo a buyer’s market. If you don’t like the price, offer lower or walk.

Re: Want to buy Lagoon 40
I offered 220.000€ for the Lagoon which was 238.000€ and they did not accept my offer.
I am following the Sailing Ocean Fox on youtube , they got the boat for around 220.000€.
I am really confused about the market value of the boats the spread is too much.
But on Nov the prices were much lower comparing by Jan.
On the other hand we want live on a multihull but if we choose to live on a monohull ,we will have more money to spend for sure.

Re: Want to buy Lagoon 40
Thats obvious, people tend to sell after the season to save on marina fees for the winter and on maintenance... P rices rise with the demand in spring in europe and autumn in the caribbean.

Re: Want to buy Lagoon 40
Of course you can buy for 300k€. If you make a payment of %40 up front, wait for a year or two and don't buy unnecessary options which you can put them on later for the half price.
