Re: Seawind 1160

Asking $369K. We're somewhat flexible, but MARAD waiver, letter of stability and USCG Inspected status convey a premium, as does the fact she is very well maintained, equipped and updated. Or, you can buy an 1160 Lite with diesels for $480K or so, but that won't have MARAD waiver, stability letter and COI, which collectively require hundreds of hours to secure, and lots of $$$'s. Nor will it have requisite equipment for blue water cruising, such as water maker and additional sail inventory.

You do know they still make and sell the 1160 deluxe, right?

Beautiful looking boat though, and with so much new work. Reason for the sale, if you don't mind me asking?

Re: Seawind 1160

We’re selling to buy a larger Seawind. The Deluxe is technically no longer manufactured by Seawind. You can still order the Lite though, and add all the options that comprised the “Deluxe”, including the diesels and sail drives, but I digress. Let me know if you want to inspect and go for a sail.

Re: Seawind 1160

The boat is in Seattle at Shilshole Bay Marina. We purchased in Q2 2016 in San Francisco and sailed up.

Rob, it's a beautiful boat. I just took delivery of a new Lite earlier this year. When we spec'd out in 2018, there was still a Deluxe build and price list. We took some options from the Deluxe and added to our Lite.

Thanks! We've been very happy with her. She'll soon have some new Seawinds keeping her company here in Puget Sound. A 2019 1160 Lite named "Atalaya" arrives tomorrow and four new 1260s are arriving here in the next 18 months, starting with "Veracity", which is arriving next April.

Thank you, and congrats on your purchase! I think we chatted at some point on the Seawind Owners Group (on Facebook). We informally call the newer 1160 Lites equipped with Diesels "DeLites".

Re: Seawind 1160

Hi Rob, it's a beautiful boat. I ordered a Seawind 1190 sport back in December and I am expecting delivery mid of next year. I am working out the options and I am curious regarding your experience with your new laminated aramid sail vs the old Hydranet. How many seasons do you expect to get from it? I am in South FL so I will have much more UV abuse to deal with.
