Hi. New member, based in BC , Canada.
Looking to purchase Alubat Ovni 445 or 435 in the PNW area, or west coast of US/Mexico.
Preferably fairly recent boat, with hull insulation , heating, bow thruster , cutter rig, with staysail on a furler. .
Would consider an East coast option and trucking to BC, if the numbers stack up.
A long shot but worth a try!

Hi Deep Six, not too many Ovnis here on the west coast, although during my search for an Ovni, I came across two in BC area, a 455 and a 56, both at the end of a world cruise and now sold. I finally found mine in the Caribbean, and saw a few others sitting in yards on different islands. Maybe consider joining the Facebook Ovni owners club?

Hi Fatboypaul, appreciate the advice.
Currently in talks with a seller in the Caribbean. Also missed a fine 455 here, in BC, some time back. Boat was just too big for only two of us.
Problem with buying in the Caribbean, is getting the boat back to the PNW and “tweaked” for use by early spring. Shipping options exist, from Golfito, or St Thomas, but the quotes are eye-watering! We shall see!
Will definitely consider your suggestion of joining the Ovni owners group.
Do you keep your boat in the Caribbean, or did you bring her to the west coast?
