Want To Buy: On the hunt for a seaworthy boat at a good deal

Hi everyone, I'm Charlie and my soon to be first mate is my Dog Sampson. New to the sailing community but it's something that I've always wanted to do and just recently a big life change has afforded me the opportunity. We're headed down the coast of Mexico(driving) soon looking for the boat that'll take us around the world.
Not opposed to a project as I'm all about putting my own work into something I love, however my budget is around 12,000$. Please just reach out if you've got a seaworthy ship or know someone with one, that you or they would consider parting ways with for anywhere close to my price and maybe we can work it out.
