Re: Looking for a cat

If you would consider a trimaran, I have a Cross 44 foam/glass tri that I built and sailed to Australia and back. Now moored near Vancouver,Canada and asking US$60k. I does need some upgrading; but it's structurally sound and has all the cruising gear. https://multihullcompany.com/boat-details?catid=6038817

She's not listed with any broker and is in decent shape and could probably be had for a steal. I'm going back there next week and could get you the owner info if you want.
Cheers, Dave
Hi Dave,
Id be very interested to know more about the yacht and any others in that region that you see. I dont know this make but will research in the meantime.

HI Kent,
Thanks so much for the link - we took a look at it, having not considered a trimaran in the past but still think a standard cat is more what we would be comfortable with.
Best of luck with your sale.
Kind regards

Thanks so much for the link - whilst the Mahe's are really lovely yachts, we would like something slightly bigger so that we have the option to do part time chartering - down the line as a possible form of income. We think a 2 head yacht would be better suited for this.
Many thanks for taking the time to respond.

hi Simon, thanks for the info. I dont know very this brand so will do some research and get back to you.
We have looked at the Aus market - would be a great place to start but have found that there is not alot in our budget there. We would certainly feel at home there - sometimes I think there may be more SAFFA's in Aus than Australians. We already have family there

We know that this is a tall order but working with a South African exchange rate we have little room to play.
We'd be prepared to buy anywhere in the world and have already sold up everything we own so have cash in hand and ready to buy.
We've looked at many many brokerage sites but decided to check in here on the off chance that someone is looking to do a private deal.
Tall order - but hey, we have got this far into our dream life change after 6 years of planning - why give up hope now
TIA
Hi guys we have a wildcat mark 2 which is in the Caribbean so you would save a fortune from getting it here. We are looking at upgrading and would consider a quick sale if you are interested drop us a message. It feels like a 42 foot inside with the large layout and is ideal for a live aboard for a smaller family. Most of the electronics are 2014-2016 all the best Peter

It was in very good shape. If we were ready to buy right now, I would have bought it.

Re: Looking for a cat

Where are you? I am a broker , I can find that boat for you! we have a ton of pocket listings that are not on yachtworld . there are some advantages to working with a broker .
we re full service. I am located in Miami and have been looking for cats lately for a client.
just email me directly if you would like me to check into it for you! Love cats they have so much room! I might be able to negotiate for a better boat!
